Conffianz, the Latina-focused skincare brand, in its mission to empower Latinas living in the U.S. announced it is continuing its Inexplicablemente Bella scholarship program for the 2017-2018 academic year. After a successful inaugural program in 2016, Conffianz is doubling down on its commitment to support the Latina community by providing the essential financial resources necessary to matriculate in a college program. “I founded Conffianz to empower Latinas and the Inexplicablemente Bella Scholarship is another great example of how we are accomplishing this mission” said Peter Snitzer, CEO at Conffianz. “We appreciated the many talented students who submitted applications last year, so much so that we awarded scholarships to three very deserving recipients because we couldn’t select just one. I’m excited to meet this year’s winner!” In 2013, almost 19% of Latinas between 25 and 29 years of age had completed a degree, compared to 23% of African American women, 44% of white women, and 64% of Asian women. While college graduation rates for Latinas have increased faster than any other group of women, there is still much work to do to close the gap. Conffianz is committed to being part of the solution by donating a portion of sales to funding its Inexplicablemente Bella scholarship program for Latina students. Applications are now being accepted online on Conffianz’s website through August 15th, 2017. Applicants must meet the following criteria: Be females of Latino descent, and have a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or higher. Be high school seniors or graduates and enrolled in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two or four-year college or university, or vocational/technical school in the U.S.
