The annual Hispanicize Event announced its national call for nominations for the 2017 Positive Impact Awards (PIAs) that recognize unsung Latino and Latina heroes whose service to others has made a significant difference in their communities. The awards are presented in partnership with Prudential Financial, and will accept nominations online through January 31th, 2017 via the program’s website. “These awards are at the heart of the Hispanicize mission to showcase the good works and contributions of Latinos to our great nation” said Manny Ruiz, Founder and CEO at the Hispanicize Media Group that owns the Hispanicize event. “Those honored at the PIAs share Prudential’s vision of creating lasting societal impact through their unwavering commitment to civic engagement and community service” said Lata Reddy, VP, Corporate Social Responsibility at Prudential and President at The Prudential Foundation.
