Jaramillo: Estamos muy interesados en el desarrollo de asistentes virtuales
Matías Jaramillo, Director of Digital Initiatives at Dieste, wrote a post in Provoque Weekly in which he reveals the potential of an Alvin Toffler quote published in September 2012 that says: “The illiterate of the 21st century will be not those who cannot read & write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn & relearn.” This phrase describes his professional life. “This lifestyle has allowed me to participate in many forward thinking projects” he highlighted. The Executive mentions keys for this philosophy to take root and shape. One is for people to have a constant desire to learn and evolve. In this sense, it is key to have organized get-togethers where findings are shared. Also inviting speakers to share their experiences or new products that can expand thinking beyond this industry. Another is collaboration: work groups that normally keep ideas or projects to themselves look for people outside their groups to give them their opinions. The third is to break from predefined roles, allowing people to excel at more than just one thing. Another key is the desire to try new things. Lastly, not to be afraid of making mistakes.Jaramillo ended saying that Dieste is an agency that has proven to be capable of learning, unlearning and relearning. “I believe that this is placing us to be an agile agency, participating in the transformation happening in the ‘Advertising Universe’, where companies like ours will be part of a world with lots of different shapes, forms, and colors.”
