Montreuil: El producto final ha sido muy bien recibido por la audiencia
Ricardo de Montreuil, Director at Altered LA, recently shot with Voto Latino a message to motivate young Hispanics to participate in the elections. Marcos Cline, Executive Producer at Altered, and Montreuil shared the pleasure it was to film such a positive initiative. “I have collaborated with Voto Latino for 10 years and the previous campaigns were basically Hispanic celebrities inviting to go vote. When Steve, the director at the NGO called me to tell me his idea of making a tribute to the film Stand & Deliver I understood it was the most appropriate vehicle to motivate young people” said Montreuil. The spot is titled Ganas and shows a professor who convinces a class of Hispanic millennials, who are demotivated in the light of the political landscape, about the fundamental role the elections play in their future. The cast includes actors from the series East Los High and Noel Gugliemi, recognized Actor from The Fast and The Furious. “It was a very complicated shooting because of the little time we had, but the final product has been well received by the audience. Soon, Latino influencers such as Rosario Dawson and Wilmer Valderrama, will share it” added Montreuil. “Beyond the positive aspect of collaborating with these important campaigns, this material was made for us to shine. It has all the ingredients to be qualified as a production of a very high level. Thanks to Ricardo’s contact with cinema, we were able to have a super team. Many were crew members of his film, Low Riders” ended Cline.
