Saatchi & Saatchi Los Angeles made two new commercials to refresh Toyota’s Lets Go Places tagline. In the spots, the Corolla and Camry appear as the main characters of a journey through lovely urban and natural landscapes.Each commercial lasts 30 seconds. The first one is 200 Foot Journey and the second is The Great Road. Both are an invitation to celebrate the trip rather than the destination. The campaign was launched at the beginning of summer, precisely when Americans embark on long road trips.In 200 Foot Journey a voice-over backs the images of a road that a Toyota Corolla is traveling on, saying: “Wherever it is you want to go, all you need to see is the next 200 feet”. The message encourages exploration without any worries. “Even if you can´t see it, your destination is out there”.The Great Road appeals to consumers´ emotions, by inviting them to travel the infinite possibilities of the road. In the commercial, a Toyota Camry is seen on the streets of San Francisco. It travels through many landscapes and ends in a field of hot-air balloons.
