Sizmek ofrece a sus clientes las mejores prácticas para mitigar el uso de tácticas intrusivas
Sizmek stated its position regarding the initiative of the Coalition for Better Ads (CBA) that resulted in a document called Better Ads Standards. “Inspiring ad experiences that engage consumers and provide useful information benefit advertisers, audiences, and publishers alike” highlighted Sizmek on its website. The company developed a guide called Rich Media Best Practices 2017, a resource that offers its clients best practice guidance to mitigate the use of intrusive tactics. Additionally, it offered recommendations on everyone’s role in the digital ecosystem to keep it healthy. For example, advertising agencies need to be aware of the publishers and media that are being purchased for their advertisers and of the precautionary measures technology providers are using to protect agency clients. Regarding publishers, the guide says that they must ensure file weights and load times are reasonable since this is essential to maintaining a positive user experience, and that any action that is taken without a user request must be carefully examined.Sizmek recommended using visual cues such as arrows or other obvious symbols, to ensure there is no doubt in a user’s mind as to what they are supposed to do to get results from their action. “Especially in complex campaigns, incorporating user-friendly design with programmatic technology and DCO allows for optimal safety and consistency as well as maximum ROI for brands” it emphasized.
