After a long selection process that reviewed 30 candidates, the Hispanic agency Alma announced the name of the creative who will take over as SVP executive creative director. Hes from Spain, a respected Spanish adman called Alvar Sunol who will report to Luis Miguel Messianu, president and creative director. What most attracted me to Alvar were his high creative standards, combined with an acute business sense and the experience of having worked in tree different markets. Hes someone who combines creativity with entrepreneurial vision and a talent for being a real part of the team, which for me is very important Messianu told PRODU.For his part, Sunol said that I feel very motivated and excited by this chance to be part of Alma I also feel very attracted by the idea of learning all about the Hispanic market, a segment that is in a very interesting phase.Sunol comes from Bassat Ogilvy in Madrid, where he was executive creative director and a member of the executive committee. Previously he had been VP and executive creative director at JWT Mexico. His curriculum also includes leading top creative teams at McCann Erickson Barcelona and DDB. I dont believe there are good agencies and bad agencies they all have their moments. I think Alma has a great history and is making a name for itself internationally. The energy you feel in the agency is perfect for seizing the moment and consolidating a team that allows us to do more and better things he said. The creative has won numerous honors during his career at festivals including the Cannes Lions, El Sol, Eurobest, The One Show and the Clio Awards.
