The Cortez Brothers production company announced the extension of its services with the creation of a new music department led by Sergio Guadarrama as executive producer. On The Cortez Brothers roster we have directors of all ages with experience in making music videos, but we also know its an area that has been punished recently on the budget side and by the new way people buy records Guadarrama said.At present 60 percent of the music purchased is over channels like YouTube, so that having a video is even more important for all artists he said.Guadarrama also announced the alliance of The Cortez Brothers with the Latin American website lifeboxset.com. Its the biggest music portal that exists in Latin America, principally in Mexico, with more than a million hits per month. In this alliance we will film bands playing unplugged numbers, starting with bands in Los Angeles he said.Finally, the new music department will offer ad agencies the service of music licenses. Licenses from composers for the music they need for commercials, the co-selection of numbers to be used in their commercials, and the financial brokering of all the licenses that might be needed, Guadarrama said.
