The multicultural agency Wing announced the acquisition of Favio Ucedo as its new creative director. With more than 25 years of international experience, Ucedo will be responsible for heading Wings creative teams for such clients as Pantene, Downy, Cover Girl, Olay, DIRECTV, Eli Lilly, 3M, RadioShack, Red Lobster and more. Based in New York, the creative will report to Andrew Speyer, VP and managing director of Wing. Before joining Wing, Ucedo was executive creative director at Grupo Gallegos, where he was the creative force behind campaigns for clients like Comcast, Target, Energizer, CMPB (GOT MILK?), Tecate and more.I feel that this is a new beginning. Theres so much to do but it can be done with the support of everyone in the agency. For now what Im doing is immersing myself in the agencys culture, putting creativity and ideas in the midst of the equation, and making what we do the responsibility of everyone, not just the creatives Ucedo told PRODU. With regard to taking on Ucedo, Speyer said: Favio is one of the true talents in this industry, something he has shown time and again with an incredible variety of clients. Were really proud that hes joined us.I continue to think that the most important thing in our work are the big ideas, and to obtain them its not enough to have talented people in the agency. Its fundamental to create a work environment where the team feels liked, respected, appreciated, motivated and that there is always a chance to grow Ucedo said.
