Daniela Ganoza from Univision: You must have a background in real journalism when you interview a star like Tom Hanks or Julia Roberts

Daniela Ganoza is a journalist dedicated to covering Hollywood since 2003 and is a correspondent for Univision on Primer Impacto since 2010. Her concern is to have a deep focus in the interviews she carries out.“I love special notes that allow me to tell the other side of films. I was the only Latina reporter who had access to the Boston Globe team from which the story for The Spotlight stems, and was able to speak with three of the journalists who covered the story”, she told PRODU.Regarding the difficulties she encounters in her occupation, she explains that handling celebrity publicists can be complicated. “I understand them, because they face media that only wants controversy. But you have to know the difference when it comes to a show that´s been aired for 20 years, like Primer Impacto”, she explained.When you face stars like Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts, Angelina Jolie, Ben Affleck, you must “have a good background in journalism, know what’s going on in the world, know the person you are interviewing, in order to ask questions that make the interviewee in real, current topics and obtain personal opinions that are interesting for the audience”.In a media in which information is so banalized, Ganoza strives to find relevant opinions. “It´s not just the question, but how you ask it”, she clarifies, and the best way to make the most of the four minutes she is given with a star.Ganoza is represented by Uno Productions.
