eOne strengthened its presence in Latin America

As part of eOne Entertainment´s growth strategy, David Hanono, VP of Sales, Latin America, is the first employee of eOne in Miami, with the mission of growing gradually their productions, as well as seeking co-productions and business development.

eOne´s key objectives at Mipcom regarding the Latin American market were to reiterate their growing presence in Miami “and further commitment to expanding our business in the region by working to place our most prominent properties with key partners,” reported Hanono.

During Mipcom they presented original content such as Nurses, Upright, American style and A Hotel of the Super Rich and Famous, among others.

Hanono commented that in the two months he has been in Miami, his task has been to understand the market, attend fairs and travel to countries like Mexico and Brazil, among others.

“We recently had a screening in Miami, well received by panregional clients, who appreciated we held this event.”

In the light of the novelties in the business, he mentioned that platforms have pushed the world to reinvent itself and that the more innovative results are, the better they will be.

He also considered that from a production perspective, the new OTT platforms that will be launched soon will create new opportunities but also more challenges. “However being a producer/distributor enables us to have a mixed economy of content and financing models to be flexible in our deal-making.”
