Gato Grande: Second season of Luis Miguel, la Serie will be launched in the first quarter of 2020

According to Miguel Alemán Magnani, producer of Gato Grande Productions, which, together with MGM produce the biopic Luis Miguel, la Serie, reported to the newspaper Reforma de México, that the second season will be launched the first quarter of 2020 and shootings are planned for the end of this year.

Miguel Alemán Magnani, a friend of the singer, said this season will be a continuation, with important and strong events, and will also show the difficult balance between being a normal person and being a star. He says the singer, who returned from a tour, will soon supervise the scripts of the second season.

Starring Diego Boneta, who plays the role of the singer, and Óscar Jaenada, who plays the role of his father and manager, Luis Rey, the successful biopic, authorized by Luis Miguel, tells the personal story as well as his artistic career. In this second season, people expect to see the glamorous period of the singer, when he dates the most lovely Spanish-speaking women, as well as the topic of his mother`s fate.

Netflix launched last year the first season worldwide, except in the US where it was aired on Telemundo. On July 12 this year, the platform launched the series to the US audience, while in Mexico, Televisa, which acquired the rights to the series last year, will air the first season on the channel Las Estrellas starting August 12 at 9:30pm.
