Juan Carlos Rodríguez would replace Alberto Ciurana as President of Programming and Content in Univision

Randy Falco, President and Chief Executive Officer of Univision Communications Inc., through an internal statement addressed to the staff of Univision, announced that Alberto Ciurana will step down from his role as President of Programming and Content. The change is effective immediately.The information regarding the appointment of Mexican Juan Carlos Rodríguez to replace Ciurana circulated in Natpe. For several years Rodríguez has commanded the launch of the division in charge of covering all the multi-platform sports programming needs for the channels Univision, UniMas and UTDN (Univision Televisa Deportes Network). One of his achievements is the exponential growth of the digital environment and a good balance in aspects such as distribution and ad sales. Alberto Ciurana entered Univisión in September 2012 after 15 years of performance as Vice President of Programming at Televisa.
