Sergi Reitg, Audiovisual Content director at Sony Music Spain, reported from MIP Cancún on the new strategic alliance they have recently signed with the production company BTF, with whom they are developing multiple bioseries and other entertainment formats, mainly based on the artists of the record company´s roster in Spain.

The first two projects they are going to produce together are the story of the Spanish singer Isabel Pantoja, that had already been announced by BTF, and the biographic series on the Spanish singer-songwriter, poet and painter Joaquín Sabina, which Endemol Shine Boomdog will join as co-producer. Both series will have ten, 50-minute episodes, and they are expected to reach the screens in 2020.

“We chose BTF Media because it is a company with a long path in making this type of project, and they have all our trust. We are sure we are going to develop contents of the highest quality for all the international markets,” expressed Reitg.

For his part, Paco Cordero from BTF, mentioned some of the advantages this alliance has, such as, for example, the company’s entire music catalog, which aids in the development of the product with a 360 vision, both for Isabel Pantoja and for Joaquín Sabina and everything that is coming in the future.

Likewise, Oriol Uría, from BTF Global, gave his opinion on the topic and the alliance and assured that both series will be on the air by the end of the next year.
