Viacom appoints Sebastián Vibes Senior Content Sales Director at VIS Americas and SWEMEA

Viacom International Studios (VIS) announced the incorporation of Sebastián Vibes as Senior Content Sales director for VIS office in Madrid.

Vibes will be responsible for the expansion of formats, co-productions and strategic alliances with emphasis on European, Asian and African markets.

He will also focus on growing production in Spain with their own IP. He will report to Guillermo Borensztein, Content Sales and Coproductions VP for VIS Americas; and to Laura Abril, SVP Multibrand Editorial, VIS Western and Southern Europe, as well as in the Middle East and Africa. The joint sales team will also be in charge of selling VIS America´s original content, as well as the content produced by VIS SWEMEA.

“We are focused on taking VIS America’s business to a second phase. For this, Europe is a key territory, and we are pleased that Sebastian accepted the challenge. His experience, relations, and business vision will contribute from Madrid to grow in production volume and for our IP to be positioned outside America,” maintained Guillermo Borensztein, Content Sales and Coproductions VP at VIS Americas.

“With his expertise and knowledge of the Latin American market, he is going to be an important piece for the development of joint projects with VIS Americas,” stated Laura Abril.

Vibes has a 20-year career path in the industry in Latin America and Europe in different positions linked to the international business in companies such as Televisa Internacional, RGB, and Telefe, among others.
