REEL DE ORO

Huinca’s Alejandro Rey: The way to do advertising is changing and there are lots of variables that must be taken into account
Rey: Es gracias a todo el equipo que se produce es

Alejandro Rey doesn’t remember the exact moment when he discovered his passion for directing and filmmaking. But he remembers “the feeling of happiness he had when he entered the movie theater in his neighborhood and seeing the giant screen that got even bigger when all the lights went out. During winter vacations, when the big plan was to go to the movies with his parents and the day he cried watching E.T. together with his grandmother”.Currently the Argentinean director is part of the Huinca Cine family and he enjoys team work very much. “I love the possibility of always being surrounded by different people, from whom I always learn something. Thanks to them, you can see the magic of watching what you once thought come to life” he explains.Rey commented that being part of Huinca is precisely working as a “family”. “That leads us to face each work very fondly and to come up together with the best way to carry out what agencies and clients need nowadays, when the way to do advertising is changing and there are so many variables that must be taken into account. If it isn´t done as a team it´s not possible, no matter how talented you are. That´s when you ask that unconditional family for help” he said.Rey has worked with agencies such as Lowe Brasil, DDB, McCann, JWT Peru, BBDO, Y&R. Recently, he filmed a project for Huggies in Ecuador with Ogilvy Argentina, for a social cause. The filmmaker described this shooting as very beautiful experience. He indicated that he had also made several films for Personal in Buenos Aires, together with BBDO and PonceBuenosAires.The stories he builds involve brands as important as Freddo, Knorr, Blem, Raid, Off, Sedal, Bayer and Coca-Cola, among others. He faces his productions with a very film-like visual concept and is always willing to overcome challenges to obtain a better story. Direction of actors is one of his strengths.”I try to absorb as much as possible and to be updated. Additionally, I went to college, studied Communications, and that has helped me see things from a conceptual perspective: what you want to tell and what for” expressed Rey.In 2016 he wants to “film the best commercials, consolidate the trust that agencies and clients we have worked with have given us and enter the fight with great production companies to earn the trust of new agencies and clients. I think we have everything to do that”.Production Company:Huinca Cine, ArgentinaContact: {Diego Turdera;diego@huincacine.com}T +54-11-4797-0595{Watch video;www.produ.com/publicidad/videos/index.html?Noti=10281}
