Considered the most famous character from Japan, Doraemon and his namesake series has come to represent the many shortcomings and adventures of childhood.
Doraemon is a cat-shaped robot from the 22nd century sent to help Nobita, a boy who is always in trouble for no fault of his own. Whenever Nobita is in trouble, Doreamon reaches into his fourth dimensional pocket and pulls out gadgets from the future to help him. Unfortunatelly, the gadget always seem to put Doreamon and Nobita into a bigger mess than they were already in.
