Erik Hayser and Kate del Castillo will be in the second season of Ingobernable
Netflix confirmed the second season of Ingobernable, starring Kate del Castillo and produced by Epigmenio Ibarra through his company Argos. He thanked the platform’s trust to air in 2018 new episodes of this production, made between Mexico and the US.
“Kate del Castillo and Argos have created a challenging character and a revolutionary series that has captivated fans in Mexico and around the world. We are excited to continue this story in Netflix” mentioned Erik Barmack, Original International Series VP at Netflix.
Meanwhile, Epigmenio Ibarra, creator and producer of the series, stated “it is an honor, a privilege and a huge commitment to make for Netflix the second season of Ingobernable. We are very grateful with people in Mexico, the US and many other countries that followed the first season and lived the story of Emilia Urquiza, wanting to know more about her struggle”.
Ibarra added that they will continue covering the country’s reality and the confrontation between ideals and power, “betrayal, political instability, family union and all those topics that are being suffered in Mexico and other countries in the region. It is not a documentary nor a gossip series, it is a deep approach to the nature of man and woman and their relation with power”.
Ingobernable is produced by Argos, created by Epigmenio Ibarra, Verónica Velasco (who are also executive producers) and Natasha Ybarra-Klor. The directors are Pedro Pablo Ibarra and José Luis García.
