Azteca América stands out in Los Angeles with Liga Azteca
Azteca América was the most watched TV channel in the Los Angeles area last weekend during Liga Azteca, which featured soccer games Cruz Azul vs. Tijuana, on Saturday 20th; and Puebla vs. Pumas, on Sunday 21st.At 3:30pm PST (12:30pm EST), on Saturday 20th, the station beat rival Univision in Los Angeles with a ratio in 15 to one in terms of audience. These numbers held through most of the televised soccer match. The stations ratings even beat general market channels such as Fox, NBC, and ABC.The trend continued on Sunday with the Puebla vs. Pumas soccer match, beating TeleFutura audiences 19 to one, and more than doubling Univision and Telemundos ratings.
