Barranco de Familia, a comedy by Ledafilms produced in Brazil and distributed by Synapse Distribution, and the animated film Princess por Accidente, are the titles leading the Ledafilms catalog for MIP Cancun.
Barranco de Familia is a comedy starring Cacau Protásio and Lellê featuring confusing situations of a family on the outskirts of the city of São Paulo. Lellê stars as Kellen, a singer who left home when she became famous and now returns after a year away. The entanglements begin when they discover whye she really returns: a compromising video has been leaked on the Internet and she needs to put her image back together with the help of her family. The comedy is directed by Mauricio Eca.
The French animated film Princesa por Accidente, directed by Julien Fournet, is the story of Pil, an orphan girl who lives in the medieval town of Misty Rock and is determined to save the kingdom and Prince Roland, who has been turned into a half cat and half chicken by the cruel regent Tristain. In search of the antidote, Pil, together with a bumbling and good-hearted guard named Graubart, a young wacko jester named Chuckly and three weasels live a great adventure, and along the way they find the family they never had. The feature film had great success in theaters in Latin America.
