beIN SPORTS XTRA growing in distribution

beIN SPORTS started the distribution of its open TV signal channel, beIN SPORTS XTRA, barely three months ago, and in this time, it has already reached 140 million streaming devices in the US (Pluto TV, XUMO, Roku TV, Apple TV, Amazon FireTV, Android TV, Chromecast and smart TV) and around 7 million homes thanks to the digital multicast agreement it has with the HC2 Networks stations in 15 of the country`s main DMAs.

In addition, the channel can be viewed on the Pluto and XUMO websites, it is available on iOS and Android and on the Windows and Mac desktop app. Soon also through the website beinsportsxtra.com.

beIN SPORTS XTRA also began distribution in Canada on 2 million devices and, starting Friday, March 6, on LG channels in XUMO (LG Channels powered by Xumo), reports Roy Meyeringh, Business Development VP and Affilliate Sales at beIN SPORTS.

When consulted on the channel`s business model, Meyeringh explained that it is a combination of national direct response through the main 15 multicast and programmatic sales on digital markets.

“We have an attractive and original programming, more than 1,000 live events with an average of eight minutes per hour of advertising. We launched in mid-Novermber 2019 and the audience has already began tuning very often, which generated a tune in that exceeds 30 minutes” he added and highlights that this is very coveted by brands and clients.
