Castalia Communications Corporation has signed an agreement with Corporación de Radio y Televisión Española, S.A. (RTVE) to represent the Spanish broadcasters channels and programming throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada. Under the terms of the agreement, Castalia will provide operators with access to such well-known RTVE channels as TVE Internacional, the worlds first general purpose channel broadcasting in Spanish, and 24 HORAS, a Spanish news channel with round-the-clock coverage. The announcement was made by TVE Marketing director Marta Abad, TVE head of Channel Distribution María Jesús Pérez, and Castalia Communications president and founder Luis Torres-Bohl. We are very pleased to be selected by TVE to represent the premier channels from Spain in the U.S. and Canada. In addition to expanding the presence of such highly regarded RTVE channels as TVE Internacional and 24 HORAS, we will focus on helping distributors and consumers learn more about TVEs high-quality, culturally relevant programming, said Torres-Bohl. With a solid reputation for launching channels and programming worldwide, and a stronghold in North America, Castalia Communications is ideally positioned to strengthen the reach of our brands. We look forward to serving new audiences in the U.S. and Canada as the premier destination for Spanish news and entertainment, said Abad.
