ZDF Studios closed an agreement with Castalia Communications to develop a FAST service for Latin America. The initiative will offer Spanish-speaking audiences in Latin America and the US Hispanic market high-quality programming from the ZDF Studios catalog.
The launch of the first service is scheduled for the second quarter of 2024 and will include a selection of fiction and drama available to users in Spanish.
“We are delighted to be working with one of the European leading content producers and distributors. We believe this innovative initiative will be a success in Latin America and with Spanish-speaking audiences in the US. We are honored to be part of this project that will bring contemporary stories like Goethes y Schillers that will be very popular among audiences across the region,” said Luis Torres-Bohl, founder and president of Castalia Communications.
“We are excited by the opportunity to work with an expert partner to bring our main programming catalog to an interested audience in the Americas region. We are sure this is a way to enter a new market, with interesting target groups in the Spanish-speaking market,” added Susanne Frank, Director of Drama at ZDF.
