CBeebies launches new program and back to school special

The Green Balloon Club premieres on Monday, August 16th
CBeebies, BBCs preschool brand, announced the premiere of its newest program, The Green Balloon Club (El club del globo verde), and a Back to School special in an effort to continue promoting the social, emotional, and personal development in pre-schoolers.The Green Balloon Club, which will begin airing on Monday, August 16th, revolves around a team of young wildlife enthusiasts who travel in their balloon investigating all things green and natural. The new series will run Mondays through Fridays at 2:30pm.The shows Executive Producer is Alison Stewart, who is also responsible for other CBeebies hit series such as Tweenies and Kerwhizz.The Green Balloon Club is an excellent magnet to attract children to the ecology, guiding them to explore nature, respect it and live with it, said Dan Salerno, Vice President of Programming for CBeebies en español.Additionally, from August 16th to the 20th, between 3 and 5pm, CBeebies en español will transmit a Back to School special for Hispanic pre-schoolers. Some of the highlights include series such as Numberjacks (Los súper números) and Nina and the Neurons (Nina y las Neuronas).Through the introduction of new content and special programming for pre-schoolers, we continue reinforcing our commitment to childrens education through safe and fun programming, said Jéssica Rodríguez, Senior VP and General Manager for BBC Worldwide Latin America and U.S. Hispanic.
