Edye celebrates its sixth anniversary in the market
A mix of content acquired from prestigious producers and distributors, along with original content centered around the mascot Ray, is at the heart of Edye.
“Edye is possible thanks to the extraordinary support of the world’s leading content producers and distributors. We are very grateful for the way they have embraced our service and given us access to the best programs in their catalogs,” said Erika Vogt-Lowell, Director of Programming and Acquisitions at HITN.
Among these producers and distributors are CBeebies from BBC, Ánima Kitchen, BigBadBoo Studios, CAKE, 9 Story Media Group, Centauro Comunicaciones, dandelooo, Millimages, Jim Henson (The John Henson Company), Little Engine Moving Pictures, M! Distribution, Mediatoon Distribution, Animaj, Peyo Company, PGS, Pink Parrot Media, Sesame Workshop, Thunderbird Distribution, TMP The Media Pioneers, and WildBrain.

Edye’s main audience is preschool children between the ages of 2 and 6, “a crucial stage in their growth and development during which, as parents, we want to ensure they’re exposed to carefully selected content that truly makes a difference,” added Vogt.
Edye’s content combines beloved and well-known characters with fresh new offerings for children. Vogt emphasized that they are constantly seeking new productions while preserving the core content their audience expects. “We place great importance on the values conveyed by each production and work with producers and distributors from around the world to identify, acquire, and localize the best available programs.”
In addition to the acquired programming, Edye has created original content featuring the mascot Ray, which “has helped us build a deeper connection and brand awareness,” said Vogt.
A large group of executives, including Lucille Janvier, Sales and Acquisitions at MIAM! Distribution; Raphael Raguet, Audiovisual Licensing Manager at Peyo Company; Darcee McCartney, Director of Sales and Distribution at WildBrain; Nelson Huynh, Director of Distribution Sales at Thunderbird Entertainment; Leopoldo “Polo” Valdes Campoy, Senior Regional Director for Latin America at Sesame Workshop; Dorian Buehr, Head of Global Distribution at Studio 100; and even the character Globo Fraggle from The Jim Henson Company—appeared on screen to congratulate Edye on its sixth anniversary.
