For the fourth consecutive year, SportsCenter Semana de La Mujer (Ladies Week) returns to ESPN Deportes on Monday, October 7 through Friday, October 11 taking over the SportsCenter nightly broadcast at 11pm. The Friday edition of Ladies Week will include special reports from Mexico Citys fabled Estadio Azteca for the anticipated 2013 World Cup Qualifying match between Mexico and Panama. Ladies Week will be hosted by three of the networks top female sports anchors: Adriana Monsalve, Carolina Guillén and Carolina Padrón. Like breast cancer awareness, female participation in sports has risen in the twentieth century. In addition to daily news and analysis, and special interviews, the ESPN Deportes ladies will provide pieces around womens experiences and their role in the sports world today. Among the special reports and segments: Olympic Gold Medalist and BMX World Champion Mariana Pajon, current International Racquetball Federation World Champion Paola Longoria, retired Mexican track and field star Ana Gabriela Guevara, Brazilian IndyCar Driver Bia Figueiredo and silver medalist diver Alejandra Orozco. Adding to the week-long special broadcast, the show will also include ESPN Deportes Claudia Trejos and Georgina Ruiz Sandoval from ESPN Headquarters in Bristol, Conn.; Vanessa Palacio and Andrea Schettino from Buenos Aires; Gemma Soler from Spain; and reports from Karin Ontiveros, Mónica Arredondo, Katia Castorena, Marisa Lara, Kary Correa and Nelly Simón from Mexico City.
