From the studios of FOXTelecolombia in Bogota, Claudia Facio-Lince, who has been executive producer of the company for 10 years and is now in charge of the production El General Naranjo, comments on the ease of now having their own backlot.
“It is much easier, more practical, more productive, and obviously, most of this story is shot outdoors, we have too many outdoor locations.”
The production, that will have 60 episodes divided into 3 seasons for Caracol and FOX Premium, in its first season tells “the years of Naranjo’s innocence, when he arrives at the police force full of illusions, and at first is seen as a bit undisciplined, but, no, he is actually a person who wants to free our country from so much guerilla, drug dealing, criminality. He is a young man full of dreams. Then, there is another season called Los Años del Terror, that covers all the years we lived in our country that was plagued by strong drug dealing, and we end with the last season, when the peace process arrives, the guerilla, the Proceso 8000, and Naranjo is appointed VP of the Republic”.
For Claudia, who works in FOXTelecolombia since 2008, the philosophy of the company is to always have quality products, “even if we sometimes have few months to produce something, quality has to be above everything else. The workmanship of our products has stood out in all the products we have made. We currently have premium products; this happened in Sitiados in Mexico, and now this production of El General Naranjo, that is amazing”.
