The series will air exclusively in the U.S. on Telemundo
Gato Grande and MGM launched a call for massive auditions in Mexico to find the talent to play Luis Miguel in his child and teenage stages in the authorized series on the singer that is in preproduction. The Mexican actor and singer Diego Boneta will play the role of Luis Miguel in his adult stage.
The call for auditions is aimed at 9 to 15-year-old children and will be held on July 1 and 2, from 9am a 5pm, at the Sheraton María Isabel Hotel, in Paseo de la Reforma 325, Col. Cuauhtémoc, Mexico City.
Luis Miguel, the series, will be aired on Telemundo in the US and on Netflix for Latin America and Spain in 2018. Canal 13 in Chile also acquired the series recently.
The series is created and produced by Gato Grande, a strategic alliance between MGM with Mark Burnett and a group of Mexican entrepreneurs comprised by Miguel Alemán Magnani, Antonio Cue Sánchez Navarro and José Luis Ramírez Magnani.
