GolTV to air exclusive Argentina national team matches in lead up to 2014 World Cup

GolTV has reached an agreement to broadcast more than a dozen exclusive Argentina National team matches through 2014. The most recent Argentina national team match vs. Switzerland on February 26, 2012 earned GolTV its highest ratings for an International FIFA match in the networks history, outperforming programming on competing networks by more than 250% during the same timeframe.The popularity of international soccer is growing at an incredible rate, and the addition of one of the worlds most accomplished national teams provides GolTVs passionate viewers the fast-paced and exciting soccer viewing they demand. We have seen tremendous ratings success with our Argentina national team matches, and this two-year agreement allows GolTV to offer a valuable product to advertisers and cable providers, said Rodrigo Lombello, COO, GolTV. In addition to offering Argentina national team matches, GolTV delivers exclusive Argentinean league action, airing the weekly Clásico the weeks top match from the Argentine Football Association, every Sunday until the 2013-2014 season.
