Mondo TV Studios, of the Mondo TV Group, reached an agreement with the BandPlay platform of the Brazilian television channel Bandeirantes, for the first season of the live-action youth comedy, Heidi Bienvenida (60×45′) along with other titles from the group’s library.
“The deal with one of Brazil’s best-known broadcasters highlights the enduring appeal of this charming teen series, which continues to entertain millions of viewers in Latin America and many other territories. We are delighted that Heidi, Welcome Home is coming to this important streaming platform and we are sure that it will be a must-see for Heidi’s great fandom and a hit with new viewers,” said Maria Bonaria Fois, CEO of Mondo TV Studios.
Written by acclaimed author Marcela Citterio and produced by Mondo TV Iberoamérica in conjunction with Alianzas Producciones, the first season of the series features the adventures of a happy-go-lucky girl who leaves her beloved home in the mountains to live in the great city.
This series is the first live-action production in the history of Mondo TV. The property also has a set of regional and global license agreements, in addition to the launch on Disney Channel Spain in January 2019.
The recent agreement grants BandPlay non-exclusive AVOD rights for Brazil’s territory.
