On the second day of NexTV Summit Mexico & Central America, Francisco Sibauste, Chief Executive of Strategic Alliances of Olympusat, said the company is signing a representation agreement with the Multimedios de Monterrey group and its three channels Milenio TV, Multimedios TV and Tele Ritmo. Guillermo Franco, general director of Multimedios, said that in the future, the distribution alternative would be through OTT platforms.“We’re in the final stages of the negotiation with Olympusat, a company with a great value proposition, which added to our content, would become something convenient for both. The decision is based on the assumption that the linear world as we know it may disappear in the near future and the distribution alternative would be OTT platforms, not just because of their efficiency, but also because of the reach they will have, and that’s why it’s important to be part of a robust platform like that of Olympusat,” said Franco.Sibauste, said the representation deal offers great opportunities internationally, “such as Europe and the U.S. We are a global platform and companies don’t want to miss out on the opportunity of being on OTT, which means having TV everywhere and which will revolutionize the way TV is watched and consumed.”
