Natpe Global returns to Miami, led by Brunico, after three years of absence. Claire Macdonald, CEO of Natpe, and Jen Fitzgerald, Senior Conference Producer, along with Russell Goldstein, President and CEO, said at a press conference on Monday 15 at InterContinental highlighting that in this edition of the 60-year-old event, there are over 1,500 registered delegates from +70 countries. Of those attending, over 700 are high-level buyers.

“We are satisfied to be a one-stop for content in the world located in North America. Like all Brunico events, we try to integrate networking opportunities well into the conference program so attendees can quickly build new relationships or consolidate existing ones, according to feedback from delegates; it is an improvement to the program that is welcome,” said Macdonald.

Macdonald referred to what differentiates Natpe Global from Content Americas, an event taking place in Miami from January 23 to 25. “Our goal is to ensure that all attendees have a full calendar and close deals, leaving the feeling that the time spent at Natpe was worth the effort. When that happens, we will have done our job. The profile and range of our buyers are very different from those of Content. We believe they serve a very different audience than ours, which is the great differentiator.”

Goldstein noted that Natpe is not a single-region event but a multi-regional one. “If you look at our list of buyers, they are from the US and Europe across all platforms, and you can see the differences. Looking forward, we believe that sellers of original content will want to see more buyers from different regions in a single location. We believe this is Natpe’s advantage looking forward.”

Macdonald added that Natpe Global has not yet scheduled a date or location of the event in 2025 – Content Americas already announced their dates, from January 21 to 23 -. It will be set once this edition concludes and the feedback from attendees is collected.

Regarding the event program, Fitzgerald mentioned some of the new elements, such as the Natpe global pitch showcase for scripted comedy, drama, and unscripted/formats, the integration of Streaming+ with the program where the leading representatives of the FAST and CTV space will be present; and the addition of WAWA with an exclusive executive women’s luncheon.

Some of the final stats of NATPE Global Miami 2024 were:

-More than 1,500 registered delegates

-700+ top-tier buyers (56% from USA, 23% from LatAm + US Hispanic, 10% from Europe, 4% from Asia and 2% from Africa)

-More than 70 countries represented

-120 super-indie, boutique, and independent distributors and producers attended

-5 companies with cabanas – a total of 7 cabanas

-17 clients with meeting suites

-33 meeting tables

-16 booths

-4 pavilions
