NBC Universo is announcing the upcoming premiere of the scripted mini-series from Mexico, Crónica de Castas (9×60), on Sunday, April 19 at 10pm ET/PT. The series will be available across multiple platforms, including TV, online, mobile devices and VOD.The dramatic, unfiltered thriller directed by Daniel Giménez Cacho is making its U.S. television debut on NBC Universo, and features an acclaimed, diverse cast of actors including the renowned actress Nailea Norvind, Harold Torres, award-winning Spanish actress, Ángela Molina, and Naian González Norvind. Crónica de Castas is a co-production from Canal Once Mexico and Ojo De Hacha Productions.The provocative series, filmed in the symbolic neighborhood of Tepito in Mexico City, revolves around the local Hotel Galicia and is interwoven with stories from several distinct characters. NBC Universo has promised U.S. Latinos exclusive, edgy programming with high-quality production, and Crónica de Castas is a spirited series that delivers on that commitment. Just as the series stirred deep emotions of many in Mexico, we expect Latinos here in the U.S. will also be moved by its great storytelling, polarizing characters and arresting moments, said Margie Moreno, vice president, Programming, NBC Universo.
