Noticiero Telemundo Houston ranks as the market’s most-watched late local newscast among A18-34 and A18-49

This is the first time that KTMD’s 10pm weekday newscast leads the market

Telemundo Houston/KTMD announced that Noticiero Telemundo Houston at 10pm was the market’s most-watched late local newscast, regardless of language, from Monday to Friday among Adults 18 to 34 and Adults 18 to 49 during the August 2015 Sweep Period.This is the first time that KTMD’s 10pm weekday newscast leads the market as the most-watched local late news program among Adults 18 to 34 and Adults 18 to 49 during an entire survey period. Additionally, August 2015 marks the fourth consecutive month that Noticiero Telemundo Houston at 10pm outranked all English-language market competitors’ late local news among Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49.At the close of the August 2015 sweep period, Telemundo’s Super Series, El Señor de los Cielos, was the market’s most-watched program in the 9pm to 10pm time period for two consecutive months, among Adults 18 to 34, Adults 18 to 49 and Adults 25-54.“It is very exciting and humbling to know that our local communities are choosing Telemundo Houston as their local news source. This honor reinforces our commitment to be our community’s first informers and deliver best-in-class journalism day-in and day-out,” said Tony Canales, president and general manager, Telemundo Houston.Specifically, Noticiero Telemundo Houston at 10pm (Monday to Friday) averaged a 2.2 rating for 34,860 Adults 18 to 34 impressions and a 2.2 rating for 64,493 Adults 18 to 49 impressions. El Señor de los Cielos averaged a 3.1 rating for Adults 18 to 34, a 3.0 rating for Adults 18 to 49, and a 3.3 rating for Adults 25 to 54.
