Ben Silverman, Chairman and Co-CEO of Propagate
On the heels of launching its international division and the appointment of Cyrus Farrokh at the helm, global indie studio Propagate announced the formation of a new partnership with Caracol, it was announced by Chairman and Co-CEO Ben Silverman and Howard T. Owens, Co-CEO.
Through the partnership, Propagate will develop, pitch and produce Caracol formats for the US market, including the scripted series, La Niña (The Girl), and the unscripted series, A Otro Nivel (On Another Level).
“Caracol has a track record of developing innovative and successful formats that we believe are ripe for the US market. This partnership with Caracol is the first of its kind for Propagate, and represents how we are looking to redefine the global content business by taking the model for our successful US production platform to the international market,” said Silverman and Owens.
“We are very proud to announce this partnership with Propagate. It is a great opportunity for Caracol and we are convinced that this is the first step of many that we are going to take together in this new journey in the US market,” said Lisette Osorio, VP, International Sales for Caracol TV.
The agreement was negotiated by Cyrus Farrokh and Jay Weisleder on behalf of Propagate and Lisette Osorio on behalf of Caracol; Weisleder will manage the partnership.
