Propagate has announced the formation of a new partnership with Caracol.
“Caracol has a track record of developing innovative and successful formats that we believe are ripe for the US market,” said chairman and Co-CEO Ben Silverman and Howard T. Owens, Co-CEO. “This partnership with Caracol is the first of its kind for Propagate and represents how we are looking to redefine the global content business by taking the model for our successful US production platform to the international market.”
Through the partnership, Propagate will develop, pitch and produce Caracol formats for the US market, including the scripted series La Niña, and the unscripted series, A Otro Nivel.
The agreement was negotiated by Cyrus Farrokh and Jay Weisleder on behalf of Propagate, and Lisette Osorio on behalf of Caracol. Weisleder will manage the partnership.
A Otro Nivel Caracol TV’s original format will be adapted in the US by Ben Silverman
