Puerto Rico´s WAPA Television with 90% of the top 10 programs in each key demo

WAPA Television entered the New Year sweeping the majority of the top 30 program spots in ranking with at least 9 of the top 10 highest-rated programs in every key demo, according to the latest Nielsen ratings (December 15, 2013January 14, 2014) in Puerto Rico.WAPA dominated in Households with 25 of the top 30 highest-rated programs, while Telemundo had four and Univision had one. In the Women 18-49 demo, the channel captured 23 of the top 30 slots, compared to Telemundos four and Univisions three. During the same period, WAPA had 27 of the top 30 programs among Men 18-49, while Telemundo and Univision had just one program each. WAPA-TV reigned among the coveted Persons 18-49 demo with 25 of the top 30 programs, compared to Telemundos three and Univisions one. Among the highest-rated programs were WAPA-TVs original productions Risas en Combo, a weekly sketch comedy show, and Lo Sé Todo, a daily investigative entertainment show that replaced the popular SuperXclusivo. Lo Sé Todo is now the highest-rated local show in Puerto Rico. US series and Hollywood movies also ranked high among viewers. This is one of the best starts to the New Year since WAPA took over as Puerto Ricos unquestionable ratings leader six years ago.
