Rudy Weissenberg, senior VP of Production at Telemundo Studios, mentioned to PRODU during the upfronts in New York City that he’s very happy to be working in the biggest production house of Spanish content in the US. He’s been in the industry of Spanish-language TV for 12 years, and now reports directly to Joshua Mintz, senior executive VP of Scripted Programming and general manager of Telemundo Studios.Weissenberg mentioned that after he began with the company, he realized that there is a great volume of productions being undergone at the moment, and they are focusing on making novelas and new genres. Within his upcoming plans, Weissenberg intends to keep producing in Miami, Mexico and Colombia, as well as continue growing the production house and their development teams. “I see more productions than ever. We’re opening production and coproduction lines in Mexico. At the moment, we have three productions in Miami. What I found is a lot of work and a growing production company with energy. My plan is to continue growing and that the teams involved also grow. We’re focusing a lot on the development of projects and new genres” he said
