Emilio Azcárraga, President and CEO of Grupo Televisa, said to the Mexican press that, for now, it is a priority for the company to grow in the U.S. For this reason, he pointed out the group seeks to capitalize on its recent acquisition of Univisión stock. In an interview for the daily Milenio, Azcárraga said the new partnership will be a success for both companies, and added they are finishing the last details to complete the acquisition worth US$1.2 billion.Regarding this, Televisa announced that last Monday 8th, expired the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino law, which mandates all proposed mergers be notified to the U.S. Department of Justice.
