The seminary Innovation for Media Content Creation, presented by Marlon Quintero of CIC Media, featured Eduardo Clemesha, general director of New Content and Formats of Televisa, who said series are a successful formula for the network, with products such as Terminales, which is being adapted for ABC in the U.S. under the title Chasing Life.TV series are already part of the Televisa process of creation and development of content. We produced a series entitled Terminales, which was acquired by ABC and adapted for the U.S. general market with a lighter version. It has two seasons and they recently ordered three more episodes for a current total of 33, said Clemesha. He also touted the success of the Eugenio Derbez series Ellas Son La Alegría Del Hogar, which also has an Anglo version entitled Devious Maids, currently on its second season on Lifetime.Clemesha emphasized the commitment by Televisa of offering multiplatform products, because ideas shouldnt stay on the screen, because companies like Televisa not only compete domestically, but have to look for ideas that can be exported. The international market for formats is worth over US$3 billion and in Mexico there are over 50 formats being exported every year and only two companies doing it.
