Televisa producer Giselle González officially introduced Yo No Creo En Los Hombres, her new telenovela and her first one as general producer. It stars Adriana Louvier and Gabriel Soto and premiered September 1st at 6:15pm on Channel 2 in Mexico.González told PRODU this versions main difference compared to the one by the same name written by Caridad Bravo Adams in 1991, was that the stories are current and real. After 25 years in television, this opportunity finally arrived: its a story I can relate to and Im sure many women will be able to as well. The differences with the original version are the situations experienced by the todays women: where we have to work to survive, we are mothers and in spite of the odds we get ahead. Were telling a love story, but filled with realism and current issues, said González. The producer, who previously worked alongside Roberto Gómez Fernández, said the big challenge is improving a story that was very successful in its time. For lead actress Adriana Louvier, TV is currently mostly doing adaptations, but whats important is to adapt it to current times and to stories producers and writers would like to tell. In this case, over 25 year have passed since the original story, but we need to stick to todays reality.
