ViX presented Se Llamaba Pedro Infante. This series is the biopic of the famous Mexican artist from the Golden Era cinema, who, apart from an emblematic singer, conquered the big screen in Mexico and Latin America. It is the first work addressing his personal and professional life, produced by Rubén Galindo and Vincenzo Gratteri.
The eight-episode series premiered on the ViX platform on December 1, and the first chapter was broadcast on TelevisaUnivision’s Las Estrellas on November 30.
“This was a five and a half year journey of hard work. The great challenge for the production and script teams was to synthesize the complex life and work of Pedro Infante, a multifaceted and successful man, in just eight episodes,” Galindo highlighted.
Gratteri thanked Pedro Infante for his incredible life, without which he would not have been able to tell it. “Tonight, from wherever he is, he is celebrating with us and the entire ViX team and the protagonist for the rigor, passion, and tenacity to play his character,” he said.
Mario Morán is the star of Se Llamaba Pedro Infante and Ana Claudia Talancón plays the role of María Luisa León, with locations in San Luis Potosí, Hidalgo, and Mexico City.
